My name is Dan Jones and as a wedding officiant, writing and officiating wedding ceremonies is my specialty. I do not operate by formula and strive to exceed your expectations. As your marriage celebrant I will validate your relationship, reflect your spiritual values and provide the ceremony you desire. I provide this service while embracing your beliefs. I have no agenda or requirements. From stellar writing to working as a wedding celebrant with an infectiously serene composure, my services will provide peace of mind. For those who already have a little one on the way, I also write and perform Baby Blessing Ceremonies.

Many couples come to me with a clear idea of their ceremony. That's great! I learn about you and your wishes and write the wedding ceremony to your preferences. Many more couples come to me scratching their heads, unsure where to start and how to create a ceremony. That's great too! I'm experienced. I answer your questions and provide as many ideas and options as you wish to consider.
What Is a Wedding Celebrant/Officiant/Minister?
They're interchangeable terms which by definition are "a person who performs or fulfills the duties of the clergy at a religious or civil ceremony, especially a wedding." Additional terms are justice-of-the-peace, pastor and reverend. I like the term celebrant because it accentuates the celebration. I perceive my role as the conduit, a connection between you and your guests. I portray to your guests the love and sentiments you wish to express during your wedding ceremony. Further, your actual marriage ceremony can be highly emotional. You’ll want a familiar, friendly person with you that knows what you’re feeling and provides you calming support.

I am available throughout Northern New Mexico (Abiquiu, Santa Fe, Angel Fire, Chama) and Southern Colorado, particularly mountain towns such as Salida, Alamosa and Walsenburg. Some terrific venue opportunities in this area are Mount Princeton Hot Springs and Great Sand Dunes National Park. Availability to travel and charges to do so are quoted on an individual basis; travel outside of Colorado and New Mexico is also possible.
