Taos Spring Wedding

‘Twas the day before Mother’s Day and spring was springing in Taos, New Mexico. It was a quintessential early May day in northern New Mexico with the lilacs in full bloom and the crabapples joining them to scent the air throughout town. A concert in Kit Carson Park wafted strains of music through the downtown air. Gentle breezes (okay, it was a fairly strong wind) kept the bright sun from overheating anyone. It was a great day to be a Taos wedding officiant!

And at La Dona Luz Bed & Breakfast in the heart of town, Demetria and Dylan were calmly preparing for their intimate wedding ceremony, having hired me to provide my Simple & Sweet Wedding Officiant Service. Their immediate families joined them and we gathered in the charming, classic Taos courtyard under a leafy tree and surrounded by rustic crosses and Santos. And, best of all, this inner courtyard was fully protected from the wind!

There was nothing that they could have done to add to the perfect atmosphere. It is a bed & breakfast they know well, having made it their home-away-from-home for many years. It was my first time officiating at La Dona Luz and I hope I’ll be asked by more couples to be their Taos wedding officiant either in the courtyard or on the rooftop deck with amazing views around town.

Taos offers a unique wedding location for just about every possible preference. And Taos wedding locations can accommodate a few guests for an intimate ceremony or hundreds of guests for bigger wedding events.
