I’ve had the pleasure of working as a wedding officiant at a trio of venerable Santa Fe wedding destinations this summer. If you’re searching for the perfect getaway venue, a unique wedding location, or the ultimate destination for your luxury ceremony in the Santa Fe area, then here are some possibilities to consider.
The Four Seasons in Tesuque (just north of Santa Fe) is tucked into the sage covered foothills of the southern Sangre de Cristo mountains, with fabulous vistas. The impeccably-appointed resort will pay close attention to every detail and make sure that you and your guests have a memorable day. You’ll have a choice of ceremony locations within the resort.
Las Campanas, just northwest of Santa Fe, offers incredible vistas of the surrounding rolling hills and mountains. This is another venue where you and your guests will enjoy the convenience of moving seamlessly from your ceremony directly into the festivities of your reception. Their outdoor wedding location is just steps away from the clubhouse. At The Four Seasons you’ll be whisked by van or golf cart to their unique wedding locations. Don’t let that deter you – the staff is fabulous and will make it happen with ease.
And finally, the Chapel at Bishops Lodge is a most charming and intimate experience. Bishop’s Lodge provides a number of wedding locations on their grounds. I had the pleasure of being a marriage celebrant in the historic, 1850s chapel. It is an intimate experience, ideal for weddings of around a dozen guests. If you’re looking for historic charm in your experience – and in your wedding photographs – this is the spot! The couple I worked with did it right – they were staying on after the ceremony (and after their guests left) to enjoy their honeymoon right there! I liked that new twist on convention!
