Time with Dad

What is a northern New Mexico wedding officiant doing in Connecticut for the winter? Especially when the weather is so challenging? I have the excellent good fortune to still have my father living, age 96, and can return home to live with him for a few months each winter. Further, a close friend in Taos is an excellent wedding celebrant and is able to accommodate requests I receive for winter weddings.

At 96, Dad still takes an active interest in my life and loves to hear about weddings I’ve officiated, couples I’m working with to plan a ceremony and those who are making inquiries. Diversity is key for him – he loves the wide range of locations people choose – especially when it involves a mountain trail, a peak or a remote or unusual location. I can’t wait to tell him if I ever officiate in a hot air balloon.

Couples come from all over the country – and even the world – to get married in the beautiful community of Taos. Dad loves hearing about this as well. It gives him an opportunity to reminisce about his travels and countries he enjoyed visiting.

So if you’re thinking of getting married in northern New Mexico, make an inquiry to find out my availability. I’d love to work with you and it’ll make Dad happy!
